Captain Alex was outstanding. After another charter cancelled on us last minute, with less then 24 hours, Alex managed to change up his schedule for the next MORNING just so we got to experience the beautiful sunrise and get a morning fish in. From the limits of vermillion to the troll on some spanish mackerel- we were all exhausted by 1030 with 47 keepers and countless fish on top of that released. It took us 4 charters over the years to finally get spoiled by the gulf but the wait was totally worth it. Almost forgot to mention how great he was with my son... The waves were too tough off shore for my boy so after we had our fun he offered to stop in close to the bay where the current wasnt rocking us too bad and got my son on his first salt water fish!!! One of those mornings we will never forget!! Thank you, Captain Alex. I cant wait to come back with Lj and do it again.

We highly recommend Captain Alex! We had a blast reeling in fish after fish! He was very knowledgeable and he will definitely find the fish for you. He gives you exactly what you pay for, we were extremely happy with him! We can't wait to book again. PS. Sorry and dolphin are cuss words

Hands down we made the best choice with choosing captain Alex. He was great. He got us on the fish. even with some harsh fishing conditions he was able to think fast, change the game plan and catch us some dinner. He was so good with my 10 year old and took time to teach him and was patient with him. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you again captain Alex for a great trip.

Alex was great, we had four kids along and he was super helpful with them and very patient. We were able to land a ton of fish and bring home more than enough for a few meals. I highly recommend captain Alex, we were on fish the whole afternoon and he was constantly working trying to get more over the rail.

Awesome fishing charter ! We had the best time, Captain Alex put right on the fish and man was the bite hot. Cleaned and bagged our catch too. Non stop action and my little girl had the best time. We will definitely go out next time we visit . Thanks for a great time on the water Alex

Captain Alex Rocks! He is very knowledgeable about the water and innovative with his rigs. We were the only boat to catch lots of fish that day. Even with windy conditions we had a great time and enjoyed the conversations onboard. We will be back and calling Captain Alex for sure!

Captain Alex got us on as many bull sharks as our arms could handle and put the boat right where it needed to be after every hook set. Great trip, 10/10 times would recommend him for your Destin charter. We’ll be seeing him again next year. Thank you again Captain.

Unfortunately, did not get to fish with Captain Alex due to the weather. He gets 5 stars because he was upfront and honest and let us know it would not be worth it to go out in the storm for the money we were paying. He first tried to get us rescheduled before we have to leave, but we were unable to find a suitable time for both of us. He ended up refunding our deposit. We will definitely try to go again when we come back. Hopefully with better weather next time.

My buddy and I had an awesome time fishing with Captain Alex! We made the drive from Rosemary Beach and it was definitely worth it. Captain Alex put us on some great fish and made the overall experience awesome. He's got a great boat and tons of knowledge. I would absolutely recommend booking with him, super friendly guy and one of the best charter experiences I've had. Next time I'm back down in the area I'll definitely want to be fishing with him again!

We had a fabulous time with Captain Alex! We have fished all over the world and this was the best! He took us shark fishing and we caught (and released) 2! It was so much fun-we also caught fish to eat for birthday dinner and he hooked us up and directed us where to go (right across from his slip) to get them cooked. Captain Alex is super personable and fun and we had the best day ever.

We highly recommend Life’s 2 Short and Captain Alex Short. This was our first fishing charter, and we booked a 4-hour trip for our group of 5 that included 3 boys ages 11 – 16 who had never been fishing before. Captain Alex was great. He connected with the boys right away and got them catching fish even faster. We caught Spanish mackerel, vermillion snapper, grouper, trigger fish, and even a stray remora.

Alex really went out of his way to make sure we had our best fishing experience. We’ll definitely choose Life’s 2 Short and Captain Alex for our next trip.
